Baby it's cold outside and I NEED A COAT!

Right its come to that time in my life at 35 I need to get sorted and buy a coat, it needs to be a warm, classic that will last me for years and in Navy, Grey or Purple

Want to be able with Jeans, skirts and dresses

I'm a size 16 and 5'8 with average norks, short body and long legs(ish)

I've never owned a proper coat, have a rain mac, ski coat but nothing "proper"

Please help me....

The wool uptown coat in the Boden sale is lovely. Reduced from £155 to £79 I think. Most sizes left last time I looked.

Will black do? I have one that is too big for me and dh was going to put it on ebay.

I've got this from Joe Browns and its fabulous and gets LOADS of compliemts. Buttons keep falling off though.

I've just got my first proper ladies coat from Whistles in John Lewis. It's navy and toasty warm

Fab what is it like would look at anything and everything as starting to look a bit stupid walking around in cardy and vest in -4!

none of those are warm enough for the weather right now.

I knew I should of kept my grans sheepskin - I can't find anything at all that is warm, not double breasted and wont add another 2 stone to me that I don't need!

Want to be able to take DS out for walks in buggy and look nice - is that too much to ask!

I've got the Boden Uptown coat and it is very warm- light, but warm. Think it might be sold out now though

I like that per una one but my daughter has one almost identical... that would be very embarrassing for both of us.

Per Una one tis white - I have three small children so is a complete no no unless white with snot, choc and other unnameable marks are now acceptable?

Any other ones anywhere?
