What shoes? Am stuck, and need your advice!

The lovely Dh has bought me this dress on line, and it arrived today. i tried it on in the shop a while back, but the one I tried on was black, this is navy. I really like it, I think it looks better navy, but heres the thing. I don't own navy clothes. I don't know what shoes to wear. I want to wear it tomorrow to the work night out, so new shoes are not an option.

I have:

Knee high dark brown flat boots
Knee high black high heeled boots
Knee high tan high heeled boots
Various sandally things, all very summery, and not suitable with tights.

I also have - jade green tights, purple tights, black tights.

I am pregnant, and would prefer to wear the flat boots. Can I?

Lovely dress

I wear a lot of navy and wear both black and brown with it. Depends how formal your work do is. I would have said the black high boots would be smartest with it. Also, if it is a meal then you will spend most of your time sitting down, no? So heel height won't be too much of an issue.

However, if it is more of a casual affair then the brown flat boots will be fine.

Go for black tights if wearing black heels. I would wear brown tights if I went for the brown boots option.

That's a lovely dress but I'm not sure it would look great with brown boots.

Have you got any pumps if you don't want to wear heels?

It's a lovely dress. But I have to say go out and get a pair of silver sandals/pumps in your lunch hour tomorrow. I got a pair of silver pumps in Sainsbury's for a tenner.

I like the silver pumps idea, but not sure I can afford even a tenner until Tuesday!

Will black tights work with navy?

Yes black tights definitely work with navy. I wear it a lot. In fact wore that combo last friday to a christmas works do

Navy with navy is just too matchy matchy.

Ok doke. Will try that out then. Hopefully will have enough in the bank for some silver shoes.
