Hi

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of some thick, cotton tights that would fit, I'm 5 foot 9ish. I can't seem to find any cotton tights that I can wear without the crotch ending up around my knees

I find denier tights to be ok, but I want something warmer for the Winter. Thank you!

M&S large (not extra large as they seem to be wider rather than longer) do me. I am just under 6ft.

Thank you GooseyLoosey, I will have a look this week.

Lots of thick, extra tall tights here. The Transparenze ones are really good

Wolford are the best- last for years.

I have a pair of Wolford that I bought in 1992. Still perfect. Cost £25 even then. But well worth it.

John Lewis.

Ii'm just under 6 foot and a size 12 and M&S large do grand.

AnyFuckerForAMincePie · 16/12/2009 14:27

BHS size large

I am 5ft 10 and they fit me perfectly, the crotch is in the right place and knees don't go baggy

They have some 100 denier...black, grey, navy, chocolate and plum colours. I have 'em all

RamblingRosa · 16/12/2009 15:21

Yes, the trick is to buy large. I get M&S large too and they fit fine.

John Lewis own brand tights in large really are freakishly long, and much nicer quality than M&S (they seem to last longer for me - M&S ones I always end up poking my toe through within the first hour so I've given up on them). I never have the crotch around the knees issue with John Lewis tights and they do cotton ones.
I did spend a fortune on some Falke tights because they were such lovely cottony fabric, but they are crotchkneetastic, not recommended.
I have a pair of the Wolford Twenties fishnet tights in a dark tan colour and I love them so much - they are THE perfect tights.
