I am trying to find a replacement for my storksak brown leather bag but seem to be having a mental blank when it comes to thinking of places to look. This coupled with my inability to make a decision is not a great combo.

Please can you all help me?!

I am after a fairly large leather bag, which has enough room for my DTs bits and bobs (we're about to start potty training so changes of clothes need to be taken into account) as well as my phone/diary/keys.

I walk a lot, often in grizzly weather, and so would like something that can be zipped closed (or poppered, etc) and can preferably be worn across the body, as well as over my shoulder. I like the slouchy hobo look, but detest anything with too much gold/silver bling on it. Colors-wise, grey would be my first choice, but would consider anything really.

Price-wise, up to about £100 but would go up to £150 for the perfect bag.

Thanks very much in advance!

This is nice, but no strap across body

Bigger strap

Ewe · 15/12/2009 19:40

This is nice or this one?

I think your budget is hard because it's not enough for designer bags and is a bit more than most high street stuff, can't think of where is best to shop in that budget. Will keep thinking!

dairymoo · 15/12/2009 19:41

I like both of those, thanks Ewe. Do you know what ASOS's quality is like?

This Oushka bag is the kind of thing I am looking for - just with a cross body strap if possible!

I know suede isnt very practical, but this is beautiful and a bargin

There are some lovely bags on the Oushka site, and sit right at your budget.

I have really been umming and ahhing about that one geordieminx. I like it but I really think the suede will get ruined pretty fast in my day to day toing and froing. And no cross body strap. Lovely bag though! And love the site, but a lot of them seem a little on the small side for me I think. They seem to measure them from top of handle to bottom of bag, giving false impression of the size of the actual bag...?

Its HUGE!!!

Pollyanna · 15/12/2009 19:55

I really love this bag I know it is more than your budget and doesn't go across the body, but I am holding out for the sale.

otherwise have you looked at red direct?

dairymoo · 15/12/2009 19:56

Not that one - I know that ones massive! Unless the model is a giant? All the others...the temple one for example...

LOVE that Pollyanna. When do jigsaw have their sale?

Their sale is usually fairly late I think.

Sorry that's not much help! I got a bag from there from dh last year for Christmas and he doesn't think the sale had started then.
