People with hazel eyes should wear what colour eye make-up?

I have hazel eyes and go for purple normally. atm I am wearing a bronzey set from the Body shop though. Both look nice I think. For going out, I tend to stick to browny smokey eyes rather than black

Purple looks awful on my skin tone.

See I have been wearing Benefit 'Get Figgy' and I wear alot of eyeliner, but I think instead of making my eyes stand out, it makes them look sunken and me quite pale (which I am anyway) but I am a bit unsure about green as I have red hair.

Definitely purple for my green hazel eyes, especially the Bourjois prune intense single pot one. Also use the very dark purple single pot to create smokey eyes, and the silver one either on its own or with the pruple over the top. If not purple, then bronzey browns (and revlon always seem to do good colours for my eyes). I would also recommend purple mascara! I am too old not quite brave enough to use it on its own but I still think it makes my eye colour 'pop' when used over black mascara to just give a hint of colour.

Yep from here for purple shades too. I love Sketch from MAC for smokey eyes, a delicious dark aubergine. For more daytime-y eyes, I love Clinique's Stone Violet, a matt neutral lighter purple. And Urban Decay eyeliner in Rockstar.

Plus browny shades in general, I love Foxy by Clinique atm.

I have hazel eyes and I'm wearing Bobbi Brown 'Slate' long-wear cream shadow atm. I also use her Heather and another called Sand Dollar which is a kind of bronzy/silvery shimmer - again in the cream shadow.

I don't wear eyeliner as such, just smudge some dark chocolately brown powder shadow along the edge of my upper lids.
