Help is it a scarf?

Don't laugh please. I treated myself to a scarf today, big, woolly loose knit and gorgeous...but having got home I now realise it is not a scarf exactly - the ends are joined together so it is one big loop! Is this meant to happen or have I been sold a factory reject? If meant to be what is the name of this item so I can at least google on how to wear it - before deciding if it's going back! Or can any MNers advise!

I've seen reference to mobius [bad spelling alert] scarves online. I think they're names after a mobius loop, a twisted loop that doesn't end, or something clever and mathematical.

I think you can get loose snoods that you wind round a couple of times.. maybe?
Otherwise I maybe it is a mobius scarf? (a snood by anyother name imo)

Sausage don't apologise - just been off googling loop scarf and it is. Glad to see some pics of people wearing them wrapped around and not over their heads!
