I saw them in Next yesterday too and stopped in my tracks. They're awful. Even if they were worn over tights they'd still be awful on a three year old.

She wears hers with plain thick black tights, black boots , nothing odd about them IMO

she had cord short shorts from gap last year

i can assure you that she is not sexualised, just by wearing short shorts with thick wooly tights

i have far more objection ot playboy clothes and strappy clothes, heels for young girls, than short shorts

suppose 4.5 is still nearly double the age of my dd, shes nearly 2.5 but tall, thats why i look at 3 year old clothes.

give it another couple of years and i might be eatting my words!

i thikn tere are ways of wearing clothes that could look inappropriate, but in a way that is appropriate.. If that makes sense!

DD wears denim shorts over some patterned wooly tights with either boots or pumps. It looks cool. Fed up of all the sequinned stuff that's around at the moment though as it would probably only get worn a couple of times
