I want some proper ballet flats

I am looking for some ballet flats that have proper hard soles, and maybe a very low heel (rather than being totally flat). Preferably leather. Preferable silver.

I had some from Next a couple of years ago, but have worn them out. All I can find on the high street now is synthetic shoes with very thin, flat rubber soles. All are very cheap too - I don't mid paying as long as they fit my humungous wide size 8 feet. Which is really why I want to go to a shop and try them on - mail order shoes never fit and it costs a fortune to send them back!

French Sole?

They have lots of styles like these or these for example. Quite pricey but mine have lasted a very long time and are very comfortable!

I had ballet flats with hard soles from Clarks in the summer. V comfy for my wide size 7s.

How about these in metallic though they are possibly a bit old lady with the design of them?

These in black

Second vote for French Sole. The leather is very supple and comfortable and the sole is sturdy.

Hi Ladies, tahnk you.

The problem is...

French Sole and Boden's biggest sizes are too small.

Like the idea of Clark's but , as you siad, Norkily, the styles are a bit old lady at the mo.

Will check out others.

BikeRunSki- it might be worth a trip to Clarks just to see what they have and how they look in real life. They don't have the summer ones I bought on the website but I'm sure I saw them a few weeks ago in store....

Good luck.
