I'm going out for a meal with some women who's daughter's go to nursery with my dd. I havent been out in 4 years! We've decided to really dress up and go to town, so need something new to wear.

Im size 18, but I have good boobs and quite a defined waist. I'm 5'8. Will this dress suit me? Is it too much?

Thats really nice
Make sure you wear heels

But V GOOD CHOICE

CuppaTeaJanice · 10/12/2009 19:57

Yes - I'd put it with a wide belt in a bright colour (red?), a chunky necklace and either knee high boots or killer heels.

Have fun!!

LizzyLordsALeaping · 10/12/2009 19:58

Lovely dress, have fun.

notyummy · 10/12/2009 19:58

Think it will be flattering and certainly not over the top - if anything quite restrained and classy for big Xmas night. Perhaps killer heels and great earrings to really 'go to town' ??

Squitch · 10/12/2009 19:59

Thanks both - now I have an excuse to go killer heels shopping too

I think it is very expencive. I love this dress, its half the price and has had great reviews. Im considering getting it for xmas day as its supposed to be very flattering for curvey ladies.
hth

doggiesayswoof · 10/12/2009 19:59

It's lovely. Should really suit your shape too.

Hope you have fun!

Squitch · 10/12/2009 20:01

That dress is nice Spooky, but I NEED sleeves! plus sod it, I've not been out for FOUR, lets count again, FOUR years, so it's not that expensive if I only buy something like that every four years - in fact if anything its really cheap

But spooky OP hasn't been out in 4 YEARS!!!

She's saved 4 years' worth of going out clothes. So it's only costing £27.50 per year

MadameMoe · 10/12/2009 20:03

Charlotte you are 20 you must not buy that dress.

doggiesayswoof · 10/12/2009 20:04

oops x-post

doggiesayswoof · 10/12/2009 20:06

Agree spooky you can't get that - didn't realise you were 20!

Clure · 10/12/2009 20:09

lovely dress and sounds like you have the shape for it to look amazing. how about these shoes? or these?

spookycharlotte121 · 10/12/2009 20:12

lol well you guys find me something better... im a fat beast and waanna look nice im nearly 22 btw lol

agree.... if has been 4 years so that warrents an expencive dress plus it will be useful in the future.

spookycharlotte121 · 10/12/2009 20:13

oooh and office have some shoes to die for at the moment!!!

CybilLiberty · 10/12/2009 20:15

dress very nice, do not spoil with a belt

MadameMoe · 10/12/2009 20:15

Sorry OP, I meant to post saying how fab the dress is. A great choice!

I agree about a wide, coloured belt and coloured shoes. Red would certainly look good but blue, green or maybe even purple might be better. would be less a obvious choice IYSWIM. Like the shoes Clure linked to.

MadameMoe · 10/12/2009 20:18

I think, unless the fit is perfect, that a belt would really help define and emphasise the whole hourglass thing you've got going on.

Charlotte, start a threat then

spookycharlotte121 · 10/12/2009 20:22

hope you have aa love evening op.... sorry for the hijack
