Boden ruched waist shift dress - a question...

I got a bit giddy and ordered this a couple of weeks back, and wore it to a work event. Twas only afterwards I realised it's Dry Clean Only - I almost never buy DCO as I end up spending a fortune on getting clothes cleaned.

Anyway, does anyone have this dress and has anyone risked hand-washing it?

What would happen if I tried it...? According to the label the Outer is 100% viscose twill
and the lining Lining 97% polyester 3% elastane.

I'd risk washing it on a cool wash.
worst case it might shrink..I have jus t had mine delivered so w ill be keen to hear replies.

Don't know what to suggest other than dry cleaning (but I am a wuss so wouldn't risk it - have only had mine DC too)

Purplepeony - what do you think of the dress? I know you were unsure about ordering or not..

Maybe try this dry cleaning kit from Lakeland - much cheaper than a dry cleaner. India Knight recommended it a while ago, I haven't used it (SAHM here in rural mud) but maybe someone else has?

Am too scared to wash it without someone doing it first! Do you think Boden would be able to advise??

Onlyaphase - that looks great, alas I don't have a tumble dryer
