Non-drying lipstick with staying power?

Does anyone have any recommendations for a lipstick (or gloss/liner whatever) that stays put but doesn't dry out lips?

I am HUGE fan of Maybelline's 18 hour superstay lippie - there's a moisturiser that you put on afterwards, although I never use it. I don't have dry lips and it really stays put! And it's really cheap - you just need to find a colour that you like - mine was discontinued but I can still get it on ebay and am trying some of the other ones out.

Clinique gets some votes- not sure what the nam e is but you can easily find it- think it's Colour Surge.

Thanks for the recommendations.

I've used the Clinique and like it but not much staying power. Will have a look at the Maybelline.

Does anyone have any opinion on staying power (and moisturising ability) of any of the MAC, NARS or Laura Mercier lippies/glosses? Thanks

I love NARs lipsticks - but they are a bit hit and miss - I have one called hot voodoo and it's brilliant - lovely bronzey pinkey colour with good staying power. a couple of others are good but they do tend to be on the matte side and my lips do feel a bit dry afterwards. Their lipglosses are not that great - they go off very quickly.

Laura Mercier - only had one - think it's called courtesan - beautiful pinky brown colour very moisturising - not sure about staying power as I'm always stuffing my face so lipstick comes off quite quickly for me! But v expensive and would not buy another lipstick for that reason. But if it's moisture you want this is def the one to go for.

MAC - used to only buy their lipsticks but they were good - moisturising and amazing colours. You get lots for your money too. Haven't really used them for ages. Have a lot of their lip glosses - def the ones to go for - they have gorgeous lipgloss sets out for christmas at the moment - you should def get one of the sets - get 5 mini ones to try and all gorgeous colours.

However, my favourite at the moment is one from Estee Lauder signature range - gorgeous bronze colour and feels beautiful on the lips.

For staying power I used to have one from L'oreal - can't remember the name but it was one that specifically for staying put - not one of the normal lipsticks. Really liked it and stayed on all day and throughout meal times - but found it drying.

I could talk about make up all day! Have you looked at www.makeupalley.com ? great reviews on just about every product known to womankind.

Thanks points, great info. yes, i love makeupalley (get addicted tho so have to stay off!!) but not much joy on this issue unfortunately... seems to be a bit of a tough one. I have to try some of the MAC nudes though, might be the way to go! Will have a look at EL too but I can't wear bronzes - do they wear well?

Yes - the EL one has good staying power as long as I am not overly stuffing my face with something! But really lovely colours that go on smoothly and quite intense pigment on the one I have.

BTW - www.hqhair.com have 25% discount on all products including a good selection of NARS. Would be worth getting a lipstick with that discount. Am tempted with a calypso cream blush.
