Are they really good? I dipped my to in the jeggings pool cautiously with a £10 pair from Asda- should have known it was a baaaaad idea!

I really want to like them, I love my leggings.

I'm a 10 btw

i'm a plump14 at the moment but have skinny pins so they look fine

Poppity · 09/12/2009 19:20

don't know what happened there

LizzyLordsALeaping · 09/12/2009 19:23

I am a size 14-16 ( got a 14 in the jeggings), but am tall (5ft 9") and have long legs which are good from mid-thigh down, long top and they look good (unless I am completely delusional, if so and you've seen me, don't shatter my dreams), no less flattering than leggings/mid-thigh skirt and opaques.

CybilLiberty · 09/12/2009 19:24

Lizzy you sound same shape as me. I would never show my be-jegginged arse to anyone

LizzyLordsALeaping · 09/12/2009 19:25

Gawd no!
I don't look at my own arse, wouldn't expect anyone else too

SCargot · 09/12/2009 19:25

Bloody mumsnetters mean there is a now a 2 week wait for said jeggings. Not that I'm interested r nuffink...

IQuibbleThereforeIAm · 09/12/2009 19:52

Gott in Himmel.

Jeggings are an abomination!!!!

TigerFeet · 09/12/2009 19:57

no moll

hurrah for lycra/elastane

admittedly they look dreadful sans big/long top

really they are just thick footless tights

SCargot · 09/12/2009 20:18

oh noes
these arent tights
they are thin jeans

tulpe · 09/12/2009 20:31

I glanced at those briefly in my local store today. I have two questions:

  1. Obviously one wears a long top with them but are they fairly high-ish rise (ie no builders bum when bending over)?
  1. Do they slip down or sit snugly on waist? I have Top Shop Marthas which drive me insane as they require constant hitching up when sitting down, standing up, in general!!
Poppity · 09/12/2009 20:47

Tulpe, I always have the hitching up problem with ahy tight on the thigh trousers apart from very stretchy leggings, don't know why.
They just seem to work their merry way down my legs until. the crotch is about mid thigh!

I always assumed I was an odd shape...

I usually solve this problem with one of the children's snake belts, being unable to accessorise myself, do jeggings have belt loops?

I was hoping jeggings would be different, given the extra stretch/cling, the Asda ones didn't even pretend they were going to stayup though, they were happy to admit they'd require hitching the moment I got them past my arse.

Please tell me these are hitch free?

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 09/12/2009 20:50

If I am constantly hitching them, have I bought too big or too small?

Poppity · 09/12/2009 20:53

*any etc (typing in the dark)

triffictits · 09/12/2009 21:38

why is it important to hitch them up from the knee? I neeeeeeeeed to know

OP posts:
SCargot · 10/12/2009 08:58

you dont hitch them during theday ( yes no builders arse v comfy)
but you do have to get them on the first time how oyu want them to stay in the same way you might a pair of tights.

So for eg i put them on , pull them up then pull up form th eknee to make them wrinkle free

faustina · 10/12/2009 09:06

they are totally brilliant. I am going to wear nothing but, all winter.

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 10/12/2009 09:31

Answer meeee! [wail]
