Waterproof mascara with bling?

Poppity · 05/12/2009 11:43

I need to use waterproof mascara as I am rather prone to watery eyes , and I am awful for rubbing them.

I don't wear make up much and would like to know if anyone can recommend a waterproof mascara that will still give me nice long lashes?

I have only ever owned two mascaras(in 30 years....) and their waterproof qualities were fine, but they didn't have much oomph if you know what I mean!

Is it possible to have both?!

YSL is a really good waterproof one

Chanel do a great waterproof one.

Have a look at this one. It is waterproof but also effortlessly easy to remove and is good for lengthing lashes.

You can buy a trial size for £2.50 to see if you like it. The trial size lasts ages too.

Thanks I guess everyone will have their own favourite.

I think I'll try that trial size first MollieO, I haven't heard of blinc before, looks interesting!

Mollie have you tried the primer?
I have just ordered the mascara trial, I think I might send for the liner trial size too

No, haven't tried to primer. I'd worry about not doing it right. I get a free gift once of the heated eyecurlers and that defeated me completely. I like the fact that it a nice mascara to wear and really easy to take off.

get? got

Eyecurlers? Sounds painful

Mollie does it add lots of volume and length?

Hi I am a real mascara whore, I have tried every brand and model inc every single one listed on this thread. By far the best in terms of volume, length and overall oomph and staying power is Diorshow Iconic waterproof - the silver tube. Do not get the standard diorshow one which is complete rubbish. It doesn't clog and your lashes stay defined and beautiful. I also have a problem with watery eyes and wear contacts, it's the only one which doesn't leave me with panda eyes after a few hours. Even the non waterproof version is really good. You don't need to curl your lashes with this one.

It is expensive, a cheaper good alternative is the volume clubbing one - i think its by bourjois. The L'oreal ones are also good.

MollieO · 07/12/2009 22:51

I think it does - definitely my favourite and I've tried quite a few - YSL, Lancome, Maybelline etc.

Poppity · 08/12/2009 12:51

Thanks points, I might give that one a go too as I would like one with more oomph too

It arrived today! Very easy to put on, no clumping, nice length, have already rubbed my eyes and nothng came off.

I think it gives a lovely and natural look with one coat.

I'm going to order the full size one, andI think I will try the primer too with the Blinc one, as it is lovely to wear, it doesn't feel as if you have anything on at all.

Thanks all
