Another 'which dress?' thread.

Am in a bit of a style crisis as my lifestyle has changed dramatically since I got made redundant. Instead of posh frocks and pencil skirts every day, I live in jeans. I want an every day dress to make me feel nice sometimes.

So as Topshop seems to be only bodycon at the moment, I've been looking at Next.

By the way, am 5ft 6 and size 12 but want something flattering of the tummy area.

I'm not really a fan of Next but I ordered the first dress you linked to with the flowers on. It was quite nice though the sizing came up big and I decided to send it back because I felt it added unwanted bulk to me. Can you go into a shop to try it on?

Have you had a look in H&M? They had some nice wooly dresses? On a really tight budget Peacocks can be good (though I do seem to have a talent for getting the one or two things that look a lot more expensive than they were) I have a black dress with flowers on from there everyone always comments on.

Someone was raving about a M&S wooly dress on here a few weeks back.

They have a sale on so worth having a browse as they have some nice reasonably priced stuff and it is rare to see anyone else wearing it.

Like the first one, but agree that it could add bulk- partic if big boobed.

I am also 5ft 6 and a size 12. I tried the first one on a few weeks ago and it made me look about a stone heavier and was really unflattering.
