You know those low rise jeans, with only about 3 inches from crotch to waist...?

How do people wear them? If I attempted to wear this low a rise it wouldn't even cover my pubes. I sometimes find myself staring in fascination wondering how everything fits into such a small space. (I'm not a pervert honestly, just puzzled!)

They're horrid, aren't they?

Are they not out of fashion yet.

At least they are not quite so prevelant anymore.

You have to be young and have less of a huge shaggy fur rug on your nethers.

Oh and abs like a washboard.

I am old.

roary · 04/12/2009 16:15

You just need a long top!

2ChildrenPlusLA · 04/12/2009 16:18

Thing is, I only have 2inches from crotch to waist (And I have massive hips and small waist), so I look STOOPID, like I'm wearing a miniskirt on upside down. Gaping hole around my waist.

ilovejonty · 04/12/2009 16:20

Gosh 2Children, 2 inches?!! I have about 10 inches from crotch to waist. What kind of deformed person am I?!

I love the idea of really low rise jeans with n out of control minge hanging out of the top

ilovejonty · 04/12/2009 16:35

My pubes are quite tidy but I didn't realise it was the done thing to truncate the strip so to speak?! Surely you need a decent gap between pube toppage and waistband to allow for a decency margin, in case of slippage etc? Maybe - as I have an apparently abnormally tall 'rise' - I also have a longer 'strip'?

Ilovejonty, I'm 10 inches as well, Most comfortable would be a waist band as high as Robbie Rotten's

Littlepurpleprincess · 05/12/2009 13:20

Surely it depends on your shape? I am wide at my hips but have a tiny waist so I have to wear SUPER low rise or else I get that gap at the back. If I buy the next size down they won't go over my thighs and hips.

It's either that or those really high waisted ones that are fitted around the waist. They were in fashion, briefly, last year.

BTW there is nothing worse than trousers that end at your belly button. BLUEGH. They make your arse look ten feet long.

ilovejonty · 05/12/2009 13:25

I thought your belly button was at your waist?

Littlepurpleprincess · 06/12/2009 13:09

well it's half way down it IYKWIM. My high waisted trousers are EXTREME like up to under my chest. Anything in between is not good. (on me, my point is we are all different so need different shape trousers, what's wrong with that?)

MollieO · 06/12/2009 13:11

On most people your waist is 8 inches up from your hips.

ilovejonty · 06/12/2009 13:17

Oh no problem little purple! But I find low waited/ low rise impossible to wear. I'm just intrigued how others manage that's all. I suppose I must just be a very strange shape.
