MAC Russian Red - I am very pale and this is a true, deep red, one of the few ones I can wear without looking silly. Plus it's matt so doesn't come off on glasses (extra bonus)

Chanel lipsticks are lovely. I don't wear lipstick (prefer lipgloss) but I covet chanel.

I use this daily, not too red and really brightens up the face

And for evening, Chanel Lotus Rouge.

Elizabeth Arden do a great tinted 12 hour lipstick/ balm thing. I think it's called berry.

I thought that it wouldn't have the depth of colour but in actual fact it comes out as quite an intense shade.

I am dark haired with very fair skin. I find that most red lipsticks are too "blue" IYFSWIM. This one is great though.

I like Chanel's Lune Rousse for a deep red going towards the pinky spectrum (was wedding day lipstick). And Nars The Fire Below for full-on red intensity.
