Does your DH/DP have a manbag?

Or are they wrong? Am fed up of DP carrying around a manky carrier bag to store his bits.

Any recommendations?

MY DP is a big man-bag man... He's very in touch with his feminine side and also hates football.

He currently has this quite groovy faux fur one, Gawd knows where from. He thinks he's an animal trekker or Bear Grylls or something, I'm not sure. There's loads everywhere... quite nice satchel style things look quite manly I think. much better than a manky Tesco carrier bag imho.

Try John Lewis...

My DH has this

Very nice in rl

Mistletoesnowman · 04/12/2009 15:42

My DH has this bag and it's absolutely lovely. He's also a big fan of all things Tumi and has a number of their bags in various shapes and sizes.

MamaG · 04/12/2009 15:44

My DH has two bags. He has a game bag and a trout bag

Satchel bag is cool, as it the old retro PanAm bags.

What isn't cool is if he ends up with a Fanny Pack.

Themasterandmargaritas · 04/12/2009 15:47

Mine just has an Old Bag.

PuppyMonkey · 04/12/2009 15:49

Oh my DP is girlie and proud of it.

BitOfFun · 04/12/2009 15:50

DP has got one like this, which suits him as it's quite urban and not too sissy

mrspnut · 04/12/2009 15:52

Mine has a manly rucksack, with lots of pockets for storing lunch important stuff

CybilLiberty · 04/12/2009 15:57

GAP in their sale usually do great lap top sized leather satchels for about £30, I persuaded dh to ditch his rucksack (SOO STUDENTY) and upgrade.

BunnyLebowski · 04/12/2009 15:57

My DP has this.

It's not too obviously a geeky fan bag and looks great!

RnB · 04/12/2009 16:03

lol @fanny pack...

Thanks, some great suggestions here. Will force him to decide run them past him tonight

my dh has a man bag and he got it from office I think its really nice but cannot for the life of me remember where its from!
think it was a ted baker bag but it has lasted for very heavy use for 3 years its a flight bag

SqueezinAroundTheXmasTree · 04/12/2009 18:42

DH has a satchel style man bag, he doesn't have much use for it, usually takes it on holiday to carry passports etc.

However, sometimes, just sometimes he takes it into work and looks all professional......but nobody knows that all he carries in it is....his car magazine

Chica31 · 04/12/2009 18:49

I read this and burst out laughing. My DH has taken to carrying a plastic bag around. I have been moaning at him all week.

Apparently it is all my fault as I won't let him wear really baggy trousers all the time that have big pockets to stash his stuff.

TillyMintSpy · 04/12/2009 18:55

God no!

He has a lap-top rucksack for work and takes an Eastpack rucksack if out with the DC. Otherwise if he can't stuff it in his pocket, he doesn't take it

My DP is always flirting with the idea of man bags
He uses a pale tan leather satchel & a largeish Billingham leather & canvas reporter/photographer stylee bag regularly. Other styles have been auditioned but rejected. He is quite vain but most stylish when he chooses
