Are Bobbi Brown merciful?

I had a makeover at Bobbie Brown a couple of days ago. All very enjoyable and I managed to get out of there with only a new foundation. This was applied on top of various bases and I was very pleased with it. However, my skin is reacting to the new foundation on top of my usual products. I get slightly stinging cheeks after I apply it and things get slowly worse until I whip it off.

Do you reckon that I have any chance of a refund? I haven't had a reaction like this to makeup before.

I would say definitly - or at least an exchange for say eyeliner/ lipstick etc.

Especially as you tried it at the counter and it was fine.

I'd call customer services rather than return it to store though.

don't know about bobbi brown but i had the same thing happen with mac lipsticks and they took them ALL back. i had about ten of them. lol.

Good idea. I don't want to be at the mercy of a harrassed BB make-up artist who's had a bad morning. I've sent an email to customer services.

Thanks, Aitch. I am hoping that a premium brand will react positively. It's such a shame as my skin looks lovely (before it starts going all itchya nd red!).

I'm a convert to mineral make up it's a bit more of a faff but looks so good and is really skin friendly.

I love BB BUT it doesn't seem to love me; both the lipsticks- the semi matte ones- make my lips sore, and the eyeshadows made my eyelids itch. I didn't think of taking it back- I sold the eye shadows on Ebay as I had only used them a couple of times.

My skin tends to be a bit dry which is why I have steered away from minerals. I may well be boring and just go back to my nice, non-itchy Chanel.

I think that I am okay with the rest of the products, PP. I am normally fine with make up as long as I avoid really cheapo stuff!
