Help me style my charity shop bargain

Just found a lovely silk dress by Tiger of Sweden (hadn't heard of it before but seems to be v expensive) in my local charity shop for £5.

It looks a bit like this around the hem, but is more of a sea green, with a pleated top and a sort of swirly raffia belt thing (the belt effect is nice, but I may ditch that and replace it with a better one).

How would you wear it? Was thinking black opaque tights, platform heels, but don't know if that's too heavy and no ideas for cover-ups etc.

Ooh I love it!

I would personally wear with bare legs and silver strappy heels. NB - This should probably wait until at least June.

But then I don't really like opaque tights with a delicate dress, looks all wrong to me.

I can't see the link cos ebay is blocked at work. Sounds nice. How long is the dress?

stillfrazzled · 02/12/2009 18:56

Dress is about knee length. Was wondering about a little jacket or something with it, instead of a cardigan.

See what you mean about the bare legs and I'm sure you're right - I just hoped I could wear it sooner!

If I got closed toe metallic shoes, are flesh coloured tights (shudder) ever ever OK?

OOh gorgeous dress, and btw, Tiger of Sweden is a top notch brand of clothing, and yes they are expensive.

I do declare you have a bargain!

Nix to flesh-coloured tights - the dress should be accessorised bare legs and gritted teeth!

But I never GO anywhere posh enough to require bare legs and strappy shoes!

Is there nothing I can wear that'll get this out and about before next summer?

I promise not to buy flesh coloured tights, though.

I noticed in work the other day they had a Sally hansen spray on colour for legs, could you use some of that?

The dress looks lovely too btw.
