UMI toddler shoes sizing

Does anyone know what the sizing is like on Umi toddler shoes? Do they tend to match Clarks sizes for fit or are they more generous (or smaller)? I want to get DD some ankle boots but the ones I like only start at 7 and when last measured in Clarks she was just getting into a 6.5. Thanks.

Bumping for anyone who might know... or care (sniff)!

If I recall correctly, they are quite generous.

And no shoes will match a clarks measurement except clarks shoes!

Also just to add, on the umi website theres a size chart which shows the european size compared to foot length, so as long as shes willing, you could always just measure your dd's feet and find the equivilent size!

Clarks measurements never seem to be the same as other shops so I couldn't judge by that. To be honest, they are great great great shoes so I'd be tempted to say just buy them anyway in a 7 and if they don't fit her right now, they'll fit her soon enough?

Otherwise get her measured in an independent shoe shop (not Clarks) and then ask the European equivalent of that and use it to decide.

Thank you both. My trouble NorkillyChallenged is that we live in the middle of nowhere (well, rural mid-Wales) and the only local shoe shop is a Clarks so can only use them as a guage (eventhough I'm not planning on getting any shoes there!).

I'll have a look at the Umi website and see if I can find the chart. I'll probably just get them anyway as you say, she'll grow into them sometime soon-ish (though the size 6 she got in May are still fine). She has some shoes from Vincent which are Swedish I think and they're a 6.5 and feel a bit snug so I think I'll take a risk.

Umi are lovely, and usually nice soft leather so should be fine.

If it helps, DD1 is currently a Clarks 6.5 and is wearing 6 in her Primigi shoes from a shop where we've also bought Umi (can't remember the European size though and can't get in her room to find out!).

Link to the boots?

Snapdragon. They look really soft and I'd quite like a pair myself! DD had some gorgeous Primigi boots last winter. They were boys ones I think in a sort of grey/green like little zip-up Chelsea boots. They came from TK Maxx but I can't find anything similar this year. Their infant boots look lovely too but they stop at a 5.5 or a 6 so I don't think we'd get the wear out of them eventhough DD's feet take ages to grow (which I'm thankful for really!!)
