They are quite different, the Eva Fraser are slower with less reps. The Facercise are quick but more reps, designed to do more on the go (though really you look so odd doing them you would only ever do them alone!). They both work out the same time wise.
As far a mnetting - once you get good you could, but while learning you have to sit in front of the mirror. It's a bit tricky as you have to isolate one muscle on your face and sort of twitch it 50 times .
If you are getting a book i'd say Facerise has clearer written instructions and pictures. Eva Fraser has a dvd and book set where they demonstrate the exercises which is good too.
