Help with an evening dress for a "brick" shape, please

I am fairly short, brick-shaped with not much waist, a bit of a tummy (and muffin top...), muscular (short) legs. Not a huge bust either. Makes me sound terrible but I don't look too bad, honest...

What style of dress would suit me?

I need to find a dirt cheap fairly inexpensive one for my running club night out.

Thanks.

i am a lollipop and also have to looks for drapes and curves in dresses

i have a dress very similar to this. Except mine cost £30 from debenhams about 3 years ago. i jazz it up with bling jewellery and fishnets

would that type of shape work for you with a pattern????

Any of you style gurus want to find an example for me?

Weirdly I have a dress very similar to that thAT I think looks okay. So I think that shape works aprt from maybe a bit low cut.

I just got this for my Christmas party, it's very flattering.

Perhaps this or this could work too if you like the drape look? Worth looking around the site, they have many pretty things

ewe - that embellished dress is lovley! its so hard to find soemthing with sleeves. i notice it has draping on the back as as well - so many don't and show up every lump and bump ( not that i'm suggesting you have any )

OP - do you do bold patterns? If so, pink and orange is striking

black embellished

Ewe, those are lovely and we have a joy justt opened fairly nearby. Will be going in for a look!

I am trying not to do black, but I think the bold pattern would be too much - I am sort of pale and mousey

LOve the black embellished one
