Can you recommend somewhere to buy a 'nice' top or skirt for my mum (75)?

Mum has asked for clothes for her Christmas/birthday present.

A top and/or skirt, blue or purple for preference.

She's 75 and dresses rather conservatively. Never seen her in trousers, for example. Always wears court shoes.

I've looked in the places I normally find good quality 'safe' stuff for her, M&S and Evans (she's a size 18) but it all seems to have gone very trendy at the moment and I know she isn't going to want a pencil skirt or a tunic top...

Our local high street isn't great on shops that don't cater for the young slapper-about-Essex, however I work in London and have access to Lakeside and Bluewater, so can anyone recommend a 'nice' shop (online or otherwise) where I can get her her prezzie?

Thanks

Bon Marche and M&Co are quite good places for the more mature lady. My MIL buys stuff in them anyway.

Ooh, thanks for the quick replies

PCPlum, We've got a phase 8 near my work, so I'll pop in at lunchtime and have a looksee in real life to see how scoopy the scoop necks are - she doesn't like exposing too much chest.

Tidey, she lives in Bon Marche, that's definitely her style, just none near us. I think there's an M&Co in the next town so will have a look in there on my day off.

Thanks fishie, I foundthis in LA, am contemplating it, as it's not her usual thing but I think she'd suit it...

Cheers guys, knew I could rely on MN for some ideas!
