Christmas party outfit (yes i know there are plenty of threads but i need help desperately)

I am 25yrs old, 5'3" tall, 32f bra size but generally a 10/12 (apart from the boobs obviously)

DH's work christmas party is going to be held at his work this year (crap i know) so i don't want to be over dressed. I also have a very low budget, so the cheaper the better.

The problem i am having is that everything is 'prom' dressy, studded or with shoulder pads in the younger shops and i really am not that trendy. Or the younger looking stuff in the older shops make me look like i am 20yrs older.

What do i do? Where should i look?

Help please?

New look have some nice dresses that you can wear underneath a boyfriend jacket, seems to be the fashion this winter, or even a sequin jacket, sparkly but not too over dressed iykwim

will try and find you an example

thats lovely, and cheap, you could glam it up with some nice jewellery

TrillianAstra · 30/11/2009 15:34

Did you mention you have good legs? Short dress is a good idea

I like that dress too. How do you feel about coloured/sparkly/Christmassy tights?

SparklyAlice · 30/11/2009 15:36

I don't have nice legs, i have short legs

I have got some electric blue tights, so that and black shoes?

You're 5'3, how long do you expect your legs to be?

SparklyAlice · 30/11/2009 15:45

Erm, 4ft3?
