Dress, leggings, knee high boots

I've got some dresses that I currently wear over jeans. Can I wear these dresses over leggings with knee high boots or is this look 'over'?

i wear dresses with leggings or v thick tights with boots, not quite knee high ones though. but i know nothing about style, i am always on here asking questions!

i think dress/tunic over jeans/leggings/tights with boots is a pretty enduring look though
