Not your daughters Jeans.........

I am 39 years old a size 12, 5ft 1 - am constantly struggling to find the perfect pair of jeans. Have seen these in a couple of windows this weekend

Has anyone actually got a pair? or can anyone recommend jeans for short people!!!!

I'm an inch smaller than you, and I get them from New Look. In fact, they're so good, I bought three pairs. They come in 28, 30 and 32 leg lengths, and various different styles.

I am size 12 and 5 ft 2, aged 37. The only jeans that fit me properly (after extensive searching) are selected M&S ones - not their short ones (which are really short), but medium. I also have a few pairs of short length Levis (got mine at John Lewis recently) which are nicer jeans but are just a little bit too long - they're fine with heeled boots but not flat shoes.

I found White Stuff short jeans are still too long, Next short ones are too short (and regular too long) and too wide on the waist.

I am 39, size 12 and 5'2. I've got some of the New Look ones but find them rather a 'boxy' cut. I've found that Gap do the best fit for me - but you need to try on loads of pairs and may need a size 10.

Yes I have a pair of not your daughter jeans. They come as a fixed length of 31 inches, so you will probably like me have to cut them down to your desired inside leg length.

The one thing I would say is be prepared to buy at one or two sizes bigger than you normally would do.

I saw them in a shop and they look really frumpy!

I've recently discovered Falmer jeans courtesy of Matalan which come in 29, 31 inch (and possibly longer lengths) in a variety of styles and colours / fades.

I've got the Slouch version which are the best jeans I've had for ages and for the princely sum of £12

I have some NYDJ's and they are fantastic, very comfy, no muffin tops not as corset like as they would have you believe but the fit is very good, just make sure you check the measurements before you buy as the sizing can vary between styles.
They do come in a variety of lengths but UK stockists often only have a limited range. Look on ebay and buy direct from America, even if you get saddled with custom charges it will still work out cheaper than the £100+ that people charge for these jeans here in the UK.
