Have been searching for a christmas party outfit, preferably a dress but open to any idea's.

I am 5"9 size 16 big boobs, hips are a bad point as am bigger on the hips/bum than the top, good bottoms of legs but not tops.

What shape should i be looking for and does anyone have any idea's?

5'9"

If you're blessed up top then keep the neckline low. A v neck is generally the most flattering.

This Coast dress with the ruffle on the skirt would be great for breaking up the width of your hips. Add a big piece of jewellery to your top half such as a necklace or clip this to your dress and eyes will be drawn away from your hips.

This Karen Millen dress also has vertical detailing to the skirt helping to break up the expanse of fabric on your hips which will make them appear less wide. It does come in a size 16 but Karen Millen clothes aren't generously cut so if you're a big 16 then it might not be any good to you.

If you're not happy about having your arms on show or need more support up top and want to wear a bra with straps then add a little shrug or cardi.

Have a look at the selection of dresses on the Bravissimo website. They're great if you have big boobs, generously cut and often made in stretchy fabrics.

Don't forget to keep your jewellery big.

Just wanted to link you to this thread as the OP is also a size 16 and is after an outfit for a Christmas party too. There might be something on there that you like.

What's your point FreeGeorgeJackson?

Are you trying to embarrass the OP or do you think she'll appreciate the correction?
