I don't have a trilby, but if I did I would look like Harry Lime.

Only the young can get away with them, and I'm a hat person.

I bought two on Ebay last week. Both cord, one black and the other beige.

I have a feeling I'm going to look like a cheap Joan Collins but I want something a little smarter than a wooly hat.

I'll let you know whether I'm brave enough to venture out in one when they arrive.

nah my head is like a pumkin and therefore I've never been able to find one that fits to make the decision

I've got a couple like the one TheDevilWearsPrimark linked to and I love them but I've only got a small head and end up with neck ache from having to hold my head back as far as it will go to see.

though my bucket-shaped one (like cloche but brimmier) is actually warmer

i am a turnip-head, and therefore don't wear hats except the woolly kind that is all about warmth.

I tried one on in M&S today. It said "One size" on the label but it's way too big on me. DP said it would "Be ok with scrunched up newspaper stuffed in the top." He's very make do and mend.

M&S sizes are normally very generous so I'm hoping it's the same with their hats and that the two that are on the way are smaller.
