yay, just caught this thread love some clarks and their half sizes too!

Its Monday now so I've missed the weekend discount (sniff) ? but they have 'deals of the week' with certain shoes on sale?

What do you think of these ones?

The shape from the top is really nice, a bit retro but is it too granny shoe and is the colour a cool grey or horrible -- hard to tell after a sleepless night with DS

kazookazoo · 30/11/2009 08:32

god what am i thinking? the black might be ok but not grey ? love those red heels btw very pretty vintage feel to them as well

FreeGeorgeJackson · 30/11/2009 08:39

i like the ones that the Queen might have worn to a state opening of the Trinidaian parliaments in 1961 style
they are so chic with a wool pencil skirt imo( i know i am a lone voice here)
like these although a bit more Balmoral imo

thiese with interesting (ahem) fishnetty posocks and grey men style trousers and a white shirt

and these that I bought and are not only comfy but GREAT for peeking out of summer owkr trousers

FreeGeorgeJackson · 30/11/2009 08:40

kazookazoo · 30/11/2009 09:07

Ronaldinhio · 30/11/2009 09:10

FreeGeorgeJackson · 30/11/2009 15:46

the patent were a sop to work - not sure baout heel but front lovely

Ronaldinhio · 30/11/2009 16:29

I've been to visit them in Clarks this afternoon
I really like the heeled oxblood coloured ones..can't believe that they are that nice and clarks I never go in there
I've been buying work shoes in blardy lk bennett bore or r&b rip off, bore
These are just as nice/better and about 1/3 the price
thanks george

I have those Daily Bread shoes! I got them in red suede, and then fell upon a pair in black suede when I found them in London. They're comfy and stylish and make your feet look v small (although they should have called them The Kirstie, not Daily Bread). The patent ones are fab, but they come up quite small, and they're not even doing the purple suede in an 8.

Clarks has some nice styles this season - and nice bags. [pleasantly surprised emoticon]

FreeGeorgeJackson · 30/11/2009 18:09

ronald?
the patent or fringed ones?

Ronaldinhio · 30/11/2009 19:18

the fringed I'm afraid
I love them

FreeGeorgeJackson · 30/11/2009 19:18

you achetayed?
coo lummocks

PutDown · 30/11/2009 19:41

Totally agree.Clarks are brillianr for 'comfy' shoes thst are also trendy.
I have the Bombay Lights ones in navy patent Freegeorge, they are great.

Ronaldinhio · 30/11/2009 19:43

terrible names though
are they in competition with boden?

cyteen · 30/11/2009 19:50

As a lifelong hater of anything loaferish, I can't possibly comment on all FGJ's links. But everyone saying how great the Daily Bread shoes are isn't helping my lust to buy.

Oh dear lumpsdumps, they totally feed into my current Mary Poppins fetish! i'm so glad I didn't see them when the 25% offer was going or I might have been tempted!

lumpsdumps · 30/11/2009 21:30

They are really comfortable to wear and I walk to and from walk in them which takes 45 minutes each way
