Hollister- hell on earth

DD wants a Hollister tshirt for Xmas so I went to Westfield this morning (first time)
Hollister is dark, can't see stock, queues 20 deep at till at 10.15 (only 1 tillopen).
I would have bought a lot more if I had been able to SEE what I was buying.....shop full of bloody potted palms and beautiful, vacuous assistants.
I just had to have a glass of champagne afterwards to revive me....
Loved Westfield.

i know, ridiculous marketing imo.
mind you, methinks we are not target demographic tho

dexter73 · 26/11/2009 17:28

It is hell isn't it! I hate that you have to queue to go into a shop. My friend bought a t-shirt for her dd but had to take it back as when we got outside it was a different colour than in the shop!
You won't be wanting to go to Abercrombie and Fitch either..

I fancy staying over so we can have a meal and a drink

yy absolute nightmare, but A&F is even worse. Every single assistant thinks Tom Ford is going to walk through the door at any minute and snap them up.

I want to slap them.

cocolepew · 26/11/2009 18:40

I went to my first A&F in New York. I was traumatised for a week. It was so dark I went arse over tit down the stairs. And the clothes were teeny,

bluebump · 26/11/2009 18:44

Stick with it in the store and don't make the mistake of buying something from their website like I did...Having seen that they finally sold stuff in the UK I went to buy my DP a t shirt from their website (he likes this brand), the t shirt was £20 and throughout the order it never once mentioned the delivery cost - it kept saying order total £20 etc. So I proceed with the order and complete it and then get an email saying thanks for your order, total £40! It cost just as much to ship the bloody thing from AMERICA as the t shirt cost despite me doing the whole lot in pounds etc! I went back into the website and checked and there is a small bit that mentions delivery cost but nothing when you actually place the order! It arrived in 2 days though which is pretty impressive.

Full marks for the champers though.

Oh I know I felt like some sad old bag in a trendy club, muttering about the noise and the queues. Westfield is fab though
