Do they sell things to "wave" hair, like crimpers only bigger?

Does that make sense? I would love to make my hair wavy (rather than curly), but other than putting it in loose plaits at night I can't think of a way to do it. Any advice please?

Yes they do they look like three tongs in a row but it's probably easier to do it with straightners. I hope this helps x

You used to be able to buy crimpers with interchangable styling plates, so you would get ones with lots of ridges that did the standard crimping and then another set with bigger ridges IYSWIM that would give a much larger wave.

Jules - that looks good, and easy to use! May drop some heavy hints for Christmas. Thanks.

I have some of the big wavy crimpery things. I love them. I have very straight hair and they are great for giving me a bit of body.

I have no idea what they are called but they are like old fashioned curling tongs with three barrels x with a crimper.

They have been around for a while now so are quite cheap.

I have tried doing things to my hair with straightners and just end up with odd kinks
