Well, am off out with the girls this evening for a meal. We're all wearing dresses and nice sparkly shoes. BUT the shoes I bought from New Look 4 months ago don't fit me today. They are blue and purple sequinned platform 4" heels and totally awesome - just like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz but different colour. Boo Hoo! They are size 4 and TOO BIG. And I can't take them back - they have been winking at me from the shoe shelf since I bought them online months ago and my mum brought them out to me in Bahrain. Sympathy please. But not too much as it's a bit pathetic and I do have some navy patent mary janes to wear instead. See you in a few hours after some cocktails..at least my ankles won't be broken

If they're not peep toe, shove some cotton wool in the toe...

Slubberdegullion · 22/11/2009 16:41

...or alternatively you could put the cotton wool in your ears, pinch your nose and keep your mouth shut and blow out (like you are on a plane) whilst simultanously concentrating very hard on your feet.

This may work.

Mind you, you have to keep it up constantly, or your feet will deflate and your shoes will drop off.

Slubberdegullion · 22/11/2009 16:42

Blow out through your nose type effort obviously.

Not blow out through your bottom as that would almost certainly detract from the desired effect of the sparkly shoes.

Arf. Thanks. Feel better. Have put on glittery eyeshadow instead.

Had though about the cotton wool thing (in the shoes, not in my ears) but the rise on the shoe is gappy at the toe iyswim.

Never mind, at least my frock is pretty www.jigsaw-online.com/fashion/1000730/J10752/womens/dresses/dotty-print-silk-dress and not too tight so i can be a pig.
