I need to find a dusty/dusky rose bridesmaid dress for DD

DD will be just 8y when she is my sister's bridesmaid in Las Vegas next May.

My sister has her dress. It is a beautiful full length dress is a stunning pearl colour and suits her well.

However it is making chosing DD's dress more difficult! Lol.

The colour that really goes nicely with sister's dress is a dusty or dusky pink/rose colour.

DD really wants a "proper" bridesmaid dress. She has never been bridesmaid before and wants the full big dress and tiara type works

Need to get her dress ordered January time ideally.

Anyne seen/advise of where to look, or seen anything pretty out there?

Monsoon

What about this?

Thanks. Sadly, we didn't see anything in Monsoon that was proper bridemaid/flower girl enough in the right colour TBH.

All the ones we have seen in the high street shops have been primarily white or ivory, or too pink or too purpley.

Thanks Rip but I don't think DD would see that as a proper bridesmaid dress. She wants to be the full works, rather than a pretty party dress IYSWIM.

It is hard trying to find the right balance and the right colour too!

in that case....

more "bridesmaidy"?

Hulababy · 21/11/2009 22:45

TMMJ - yes, she has seen that one!!! It is too pink though. Needs to be a dusty rose rather than pink, in order to go with my sister's dress.

I am trying to avoid having to have one made I think!

Have also discovered bridal shops don't stock very many bridesmaid dresses if any!. Grrr.

Is it not worth getting a picture idea of what DD is looking for, getting material to match your sister's dress and going to a dressmaker yourself then?

RipMacWinkle · 21/11/2009 22:48

Oops sorry, just seen you don't want to get one made

Hulababy · 21/11/2009 22:49

She likes some of these and these, but not in right colours.

RMW - am starting to think it might be the only way!

Trust my suster to find the most beautiful bridal dress but in a really difficult colour to match, lol!

RMW - that A-A one is nice.
