the dress in question was strapless, but i am not keen on that for an almost 10year old.

dd1 NEVER asks for a dress. I dont think she has asked for one for oooo well, long before she started school.

dress was bright red, with a lacy skirt.

was on children in need.

this dress?

Definitely need straps for a 10 year old though.

Hmmm.

misdee · 21/11/2009 22:05

thats the one. its got a very full skirt.

would prefer straps definatly.

she said she would wear it to her school disco.

i am just glad its not pink lol.

Is it supposed to be long? Can't find a full picture online.

There is this from age 11 - could have straps added by a seamstress I should thing. Very grown up looking for me really though.

Anything on here

misdee · 21/11/2009 22:08

i think it sat just on the knee.

found this one that might please her.

dd1 is usually easy to shop for. its its purple, black or khaki and has skulls on it, then she'll wear it lol.

some of those dresses are lovely, but either too old, or too young looking.

i remember hitting age 10 and feeling awkward. its that horrible inbetween age of not being young enough to wear really pretty party frocks, and being too young to be a sulky teen and dress all in black.

The Next one looks good

ledodgy · 21/11/2009 22:25

this comes in us size 4

Not sure exactly how big a 4 is in uk sizes.

ledodgy · 21/11/2009 22:25

Oh ignore me it's sold!

misdee · 21/11/2009 22:27

thats pretty ledodgey, but again, think it might be a bit 'young' looking for dd1.

not red but may hit the trendy button?

Morosky · 21/11/2009 22:41

Hula my dd would love that first dress, although at 8 it is far too old for her.

misdee · 21/11/2009 22:42

so many nice dresses!

will get dd1 looking at them all tomorrow, and will whittle them down to the right one
