out of those the red deffo

OracleInaCoracle · 19/11/2009 19:19

its a meal so no need to look uber-funky, but i agree, i think it will age v well and look fab.

or this

I think that number one would be really flattering.

Not keen on n umber two. Number three is beautiful, but I don't think that it would make the most of your figure.

Clure · 19/11/2009 19:21

the first one! I'm same size as you and I have had to send "yumi" dress back as even the small/medium was massive

FlorenceandtheWashingMachine · 19/11/2009 19:21

Are you going for an Italian meal? I think that you might need a large napkin to cope with any rampant sauce issues.

RipMacWinkle · 19/11/2009 19:22

I'd have said the last one until you said you were going for dinner. If you dribbled your soup, it wouldn't be pretty

Think the red one is lovely.

OracleInaCoracle · 19/11/2009 19:23

lol, oddly its frankie and benny's then a bar. shall dig out ds's catch all bib

OP posts:
FlorenceandtheWashingMachine · 19/11/2009 19:29

Actually you don't need any bib with number four - it's the most practical choice. Just take a wet wipe in your bag and wipe yourself down at the end of the meal

KristinaM · 19/11/2009 19:53

maybe its just me...but i think the red one is very dressy for frankie and bennys

OracleInaCoracle · 19/11/2009 19:55

do you think? it is a xmas meal... oh buggeration, i am so out of touch with dressing up.

OP posts:
brimfull · 19/11/2009 19:59

the last two links are nice and fine for frankie and bennys

ime work xmas do's throw up all manner of outfits so I wouldn't worry too much

KristinaM · 19/11/2009 20:38

dont worry, i'm probably talking rubbish

we are going to F&Bs for a Christmas night out too and i was planing to wear jeans. maybe i need to buck up my ideas

forgot to admire choice 4

FlorenceandtheWashingMachine · 19/11/2009 21:43

It depends where you are. Up here in the Frozen North we jump on any excuse to get dressed up. I was really shocked when I moved to London and discovered that women went out for the night in JEANS and FLAT SHOES!!!!!! Shocking stuff.

KristinaM · 19/11/2009 22:26

oh dear, i live well north of london

will everyone else be in strapless satin cocktail dresses then, flo???

i mean at F&Bs for a Christmas meal

fairybubbles · 20/11/2009 10:41

i like the 2nd one the best. itwould look lovely with dark opaque tights and heels. i might actually order it. im not keen on option 3 personally. i think it would hide your figure.

mrsflux · 20/11/2009 11:42

lissielou - i have the same dilemma!

i like the second one best too - just wondering if it's too dressy for my pub and curry based nights out

OracleInaCoracle · 20/11/2009 17:13

i really, really like the 2nd one too. agree that opaque tights and heels would look fab. dammit, i never go out, i WILL get dressed up and wear make up!

OP posts:
SilentBob · 20/11/2009 17:16

Second one definitely. Number 1 is a bit more grown up and I don't like those handkerchief hem things like number 3 has. The last one is okay, but I would worry so about everyone else wearing the same.

OracleInaCoracle · 20/11/2009 17:18

good point silentbob, also want to show everyone at work that im not some frumpy prudey mummy, so think it may be a bit conservative

OP posts:
thaliablogs · 20/11/2009 20:05

I like the second one much more than the other two, don't really like the first one at all. Think the second is very chic and understated yet glam at the same time.
