Starting a new job as a P.A to a local businessman,I will be working from his home office.

When I asked what I should wear, was told 'whatever you are comfortable in'

Now,in the three months since DD was born have mostly been in my jammies, very comfortable in them but cant really wear to work.

Will have to go shopping on Saturday, please give me some inspiration, need at least 3 outfits, maybe four (money is tight so the cheaper the better)

Not sure what others will suggest but I'd head to Gap and buy a variety of interchangeable trousers, tops and jumpers/cardis. I'm also get some flat pumps to wear (Next have good shoes at reasonable prices).

I think M&S do some nice casual but smart clothes. Needle cord bootleg trews for £15. Cotton tops for £7 kind of thing. I always find these really useful as they can be worn for both work and home. I started a new job after 3 years of being at home with the kids and bought my entire work wardrobe from there. Two pairs of trousers and 5 tops for less than £100. They also do shoes although decent, comfy ones are a bit more expensive.

I agree smart casual is fine if you are working from home. I work from home and always dress comfortable but hopefully with a bit of style. Depends what his business is and whether you will be meeting clients, etc.

You never know... it may be very low key and you can get away with jeans and a shirt. Word of warning make sure you take a jumper or cardigan with you just in case he does not put the heating on.... be warned it has happened to me.... think they thought the heat from my keyboard skills and the processor would keep me warm. Good luck.
