Are any of them safe? More to the point, do any salons offer 'safe' colour treatments? I'm not sure I trust myself at the moment!

Would definitely go to a salon. Check out the Aveda range. These are vegetable based dyes and have the lowest amount of chemicals I think. If you can manage it, it's probably worth waiting.x

What about some lowlights/highlights? I think the biggest issue in dying your hair in pregnancy is with chemical contact on your skin.

That's great advice - thanks! It's more the grey hairs I'm worried about (at the ripe old age of 26 )... so perhaps I'll wait. Maybe the grey will give me an air of experience at the hospital!

Jumble, what colour is your hair, other than grey ?

If dark, Lush henna is good.

My hair is dark brown and I used the Caca Brun which covered greys and gave a lovely glossy shine and possibly a slightly darker shade.
No coppery tones at all.
I recall reading in the info it's safe in pregnancy.

I use this

It's chemical free and covers grey. I use a slightly lighter colour than my natural so the greys are kind of like highlights.

Thanks girls! My hair is very dark brown so perhaps the lush henna would be the one for me...
