Trying to avoid mumsy: too far the other way?

I'm not 30 yet (not for 6 whole months) so... I'm feeling very mumsy and need to feel like a 20-something for a bit.

I'm tall and a size 10/12, so can I wear this?

Or is it too young?

Well, I'm 53 and I'd wear it - it is so sad so many of you really young posters are worried about dressing too young - and that makes us old ladies depressed too - if you have the body go for it.

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 18/11/2009 19:23

veryconfused, I gave birth 6 months ago, so this body of mine will be kept in place by enormous knickers (is that any consolation?)

I think those off the shoulder bits spoil it and with your height and figure you could find something a lot more chic and stylish

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 18/11/2009 19:30

I've looked everywhere Cybil, I have. I can't find anything that stands out and is classy (and I agree on the shoulder bits, I was thinking of cutting them off)

OP posts:
CybilLiberty · 18/11/2009 19:36

i'm going to stick my neck out and say THIS

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 18/11/2009 19:40

Now then, I love to the waist and hate below it. I can see what you're trying Cybil Any more suggestions?

Cobblers · 18/11/2009 19:54

It's ok although it looks cheaper than £115. I bet you could get better especialy with height, youth and weight on your side. Are you anywhere near a Fenwicks or Selfrides? And Reiss do some brilliant stuff.

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 18/11/2009 19:55

I'm nowhere near anywhere, Cobblers, it's a sad state of affairs. Perhaps I should wait a while and see if anything else appears.

Age is just a number, I am fitter and slimmer now than I was in my 20s!

CybilLiberty · 18/11/2009 20:05

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 18/11/2009 21:22

Cybil, with the shoe boots you have my style exactly (I can pretend I look something like that model ) but not sure I can do that dress alone.
