Help! I bought...

this from the Coast website to wear with a long black satin skirt for DH's black tie work do in a couple of weeks, and it arrived today and it REALLY doesn't suit me. Now I don't know what to get instead. We have a Coast shop where I live but it's not stocking any bustier style tops this year - they're website only, and I would much prefer to try something on before I buy it, rather than ordering a different one from their website. Also, I was convinced that a bustier style top would work best with the skirt, but it looked rubbish on me, so I don't know what else to try. Help! Please! I am size 14 with fairly serious norkage (E cup) and can spend up to about £80. Thanks!

Are you determined to wear the skirt, so looking for a new top, or open to finding something new such as a dress?

Just a thought... Does the bustier top look "rubbish" because it's too revealing or you're not keen on your arms? If that's the problem then maybe something like this might help.

I'm fairly determined to wear the skirt as I've only recently lost enough weight to fit back into it! I do have a dress that I can wear as a plan B (or plan Z really - not keen) but it's on the large size now, so I'd rather not. I'm fine with upper arms - the bustier looked rubbish because of the design of it, really - I thought it would be more structured (from the picture it looks like it will be) but it was too floaty.

Would the bustier be ok with some support underwear underneath? This M&S body can be worn without the straps.

Is there a House of Fraser near you? Found this blue bustier. Not as nice a colour as the Coast one but only £30.00!

A little over budget but very pretty. Oasis bustier.

If you do decide to order online again from Coast then what about this one? It looks quite structured and if you feel it's too plain you could wear something like this sequin shrug over the top. And there's another black one here at Warehouse which is boned.

Thanks! Love the House of Fraser one. We do have a H of F in town, so I'll pop in. Thank you!
