I am thinking of getting the Toast ?cesca sweater dress? as a birthday pressie to myself, which I remember reading that you ordered a while ago. However, I am 11 weeks pg and am wondering whether it would work with a bump ? or whether I should order up a size. Am normally an 8-10 (mainly 8) ? what would you recommend? Or anyne else that has the dress for that matter!

Thanks!

Hello! Congrats on your pregnancy! I don't actually have that dress, was just drooling over it while in labour a few weeks ago.... Still visit the Toast website periodically to lust after it in pink but not suitable for breastfeeding, so got the Fedosia instead. Sorry I can't be more help.

I've got a code for free p&p and free returns so that you can try it on and see for yourself... Will be back later to post it. Or if you can find thread about fedosia dress- was just a few days ago- you'll find the code on there :-)

Oh and happy birthday!!

Great - voucher would be fab, thanks. Did you manage to persuade anyone else to order it? Might see if anyone else can offer any advice.

The tulip nature of it looks like it might work on early to mid bump stages which would be perfect season wise....

Come chunky boots to complete the look and tada - preggo fashion!

code W9mSL
haven't heard anyone else on here with it ... what colour are you getting?

report back!!

Thanks. Hmm....not sure. I like the cerise but have a v similar dress in that colour so maybe the blue. Am also thinking that perhaps this might work in its place....and save me some cash.

Dairymoo, I have the Toast cesca dress. It is lovely - so well made and really comfy and snuggly. I am a big size 12 and I ordered the 12 and it fits perfectly (well maybe a smidgeon too tight on the hips if I am being really picky)

The tulip bit isn't that big so I would definitely go a size up to accommodate a bump. I have the inky blues one.

HTH

PS congratulations!

Thanks Sammy - that's good to know re: the sizing. Can I ask how thick it is? I think it says fine merino which makes me think it's probably not v thick at all, and might cling unecessarily to bumps?!

No, it is quite thick and not clingy at all.

The quality of the wool is really good and it looks expensive (and so it bloody should do at £115!!)

dairymoo · 19/11/2009 20:37

Ooh great, that's what I wanted to hear!

Might order it using LTEC's code and see if I think it will work. Agree that £115 is a fair bit to pay for a dress but it is my birthday.....
