The answer is probably obvious but Im not a style guru - I need assistance!

I always think single breasted more flattering, double breasted could make you look a bit trussed up if you do it up

LauraIngallsWilder · 17/11/2009 20:15

Hmmm you are right - I hadnt considered the trussed up chicken look

Also how easy/tricky it might be to wear if not done up

And how easy the buttons will be............

This is a whole new decision!

single. If you have largish norks and wear a double breasted coat you will end up with monoboob,

Bambinoloveseggbirds · 17/11/2009 20:34

Definitely single breasted. I'm a 16 too, 36E and look much better in single breasted.

LauraIngallsWilder · 17/11/2009 20:38

Gee sometimes seeking answers on MN can be so disappointing!

You are all right I know it now - single breasted on the larger lady - but I WANT and NEED the coat I linked too!

I think Ill go this week and see if the monoboob proves to be a reality!

M&S & John Lewis have some single breasted ones

If you are a 16 and wearing a 38D go to Bravissimo - you are probably wearing the wrong bra size

MmeLindt · 17/11/2009 21:08

Single.

I am size 14 - 16 and I hate that I cannot wear a double breasted coat. I am also small so they just look shite on me.

Agree with Eldon, get yourself to Bravissimo for new bras. I wore 36dd before I went to them, came out with 32G and loads of people asked me if I had lost weight.

LauraIngallsWilder · 17/11/2009 22:53

I have just checked - am currently wearing an M&S 38C

The nearest Bravissimo from here is almost 60 miles away

they will help you over the phone also
you should probably be wearing more like a 34 back and a larger cup size
