Went to a party on saturday night..a rare treat..so decided to paint fingernails (usually only do toes for fear of looking like lady of the night!)Went for usual Rouge Noir kind of shade. Looked good so today thought I'd peruse Boots for a new shade - was attracted to the blues and silvers....Am I on the right track oh fashionable ones or about to commit a fashion faux pas to be rivalled only by a wolf fleece???

I think Chanel have just released a bright green one than flew off the shelves in Selfridges!!
I find these bright colours very hard to wear, have tried the blue but prefer a classic look.. suits my skin tone better.

BTW I know absolutely nothing about fashion, except what I read in the Saturday papers!!!

I love blue nail varnish, not sky blue but more navy. I love it, most people I know hate it but thats never bothered me wear what you like with pride!

whatever happened to nailpolish?

Thanks for answers. Don't think I fancy the green no matter how trendy..Think will dabble with a Rimmel or No7 cheap navy blue and see what I think...can imagine DH's complete lack of appreciation for blue already!

OPI have lovely colours and I find that they go on well and don't require too much technique - which may be useful if you are not used to polishing your nails.
Some other brands can be more tricky - have to wait till first coat dry not tacky etc etc

Good luck!

I couldn't recommend BarryM polish highly enough. It was recommended in a few magazine so I bought some to try and it's amazing. I painted my nails last Thursday and 6 days later they are chip free. That has never happened to me before, well worth £2.95
