Lace up Fly boots - good for wider calf?

What's the consensus on these? I think that they're good in that you get the nice Fly shape to fit a wider calf, but can't decide whether I like the lace-up-ness or not.

They look a bit like extended hiking boots!

hmm. not quite whatI was hoping for! They are based on the Mol, which I love, but can't really get into...

No not keen on the Fly ones. I am wide of calf and have these. They are on their fourth Winter and still look good as new, can't recommend them highly enough

I like these too, but just love the Fly shape. What do people think of the Midas? I don't know if I like the panel more or less than the laces.

You could probably have boots made liek the Fly ones you know. Is there a cobbler in your town? Ours is fab. OR, buy the boots you like and then take them to be stretched

I like the Midas boots.

Am thinking about the Mes - may try going into Office on Tues to try them on. Thought about gettiung the Mols stretched, but have just had a baby and am carrying pregnancy weight, so suspect there is some calf weight to lose too! More opinions on the first ones welcome!
