Young mums - don't make these hideous fashion mistakes!

Ok, just to prove that it's not just mums in their thirties and forties that are liable to make huge fashion mistakes.

Young mums - no-one wants to see your thong, it just makes you look trashy.
Shapeless tracksuits really do nothing for you.
You might have been able to show your belly pre-children, but now it looks like woodchip wallpaper, put it away!
White strappy tops go best with white bras, really. Any other colour of bra makes you look like a prostitute.
Puffa jackets don't look good on anyone.

don't go out wearing leggings with a short t-shirt - it makes you look like you forgot to put a skirt on, especially if you are not size 8 and completely toned.

put a dress/tunic/long length top over leggings please! (speaking as a young mum myself!)

Oh, I like coloured bra straps. Not a young mum though.

I hate coloured bra straps! Not only that but you can often see the bra through the t-shirt!

I don't want to see their bra, there is nothing attractive about bra straps. Esp when they are grey or flesh-coloured - ugh!

If you insist on wearing leggings with a short top then, please, buy good quality leggings that are not ever so slightly see through. If you insist on wearing cheap leggings then make sure you are wearing pants.

I like coloured bra straps.

Flesh-coloured bras are massively ugly, I'd rather my bra was visible.

And wearing the FCUK logo whilst pushing a pram around isn't a great look either.
Or any other t-shirt with a stupid logo on it such as 'Bitch from Hell'. (Yes, I've seen most of them around here)

wearing those clothes you had pre pregnancy and refuse to bin, admit they are too small and invest in some well fitting clothes instead (i am a young mum by the way)

disagree - flesh coloured bras are an essential item for wearing of any white items (t-shirts, vest tops, shirts). It is the only way for a bra to remain invisible - white bras always show through.

Although do agree with Trillian re coloured straps. But only with coloured tops - not black or white and only with tanned flesh. Oh, and only if you really can get away with wearing a vest on the high street to begin with (ie you are not mahoosive of nork nor upper arms).

even if you have a teeny waist (highlighted by the huge belt), you need a top that covers your arse when wearing leggings!

If you don't have much money to lavish on your appearance, save your pennies on everything else (you are young and can get away with it) and have a decent haircut.

when your fake uggs have worn away at such an angle on the sole that you are in fact no longer walking on the sole but instead walking on the side of your boot..it's time to get rid of them.

Buy decent boots. Not those Uggs ripoffs which mean you end up walking on the inside of the boot. It cannot be comfortable, it looks ridiculous and the sluff sluff sluff sound you make as you come sluffing down the road is cringemaking!
