My eldest aged 5 wants to wear the same dress as her little sister this xmas. I've alwyas bought dd1 a new dress for xmas day and want to continue but he'd lvoe to wear the same as her sister this year. BUT dd2 is only 3 weeks at mo! she'll be 9 by xmas and dd needs aged 6 as she's quite tall! So far cannot find anything that covers both age ranges, found 1-7 years but that'll dwarf dd2! so any sugegstions or am i clutching at straws...............

Monsoon have party dresses in baby sizes, you might not get an identical one in a bigger size, but there should be something very similar.

It's a lovely idea, my dd would love a baby sister to dress up

Asda have some lovely clothes and are not too expensive

I have seen some beautiful party dresses in Tesco ranging from newborn right up. Pretty inexpensive and seriously stunning!

Next? Gap? These any good?

tbh I think you might struggle as there does seem to be a very definite split between baby/toddler clothes ranges and then the 'girl' range.

I have bought those pinafore dresses from Seesaw for the dds for Christmas.

They are absolutely gorgeous, really lovely needlecord fabric and they are quite heavy so with a top underneath they won't need a cardigan on.

They are reversible too, so that's Christmas Day and Boxing day sorted

Slubberdegullion · 13/11/2009 10:43

I've not got the matching hats though matching hats are a step too far imho.

Slubberdegullion · 13/11/2009 10:47

The photos on the site are shit though.

Right, I'll shut up and stop the hard sell now.

They often have nice ones in my local TK Maxx. Varies though.
