Short of buying some crimpers how would you do an 80's hairstyle on dd,aged not quite 5 and with long v. straight hair ???? Just googled images and most of it is curly.

side ponytail?

dexter73 · 12/11/2009 19:37

You could plait it overnight and then put it in a side ponytail.

Lots of little plaits in damp hair over night gives the same effect as crimpers.

We must have shared 80's hairdos ruddynorah!

NorbertDentressangle · 12/11/2009 19:39

Don't forget to do the side ponytail with a really foul scrunchy

Wheelybug · 12/11/2009 19:40

ooh a side pony tail - OF COURSE ! Acvtually had thought of plaiting the night before but yes, lots of little plaits would work even better

Providing I can get her to buy in to the idea. We are going to a sort of 80's themed party on sunday but the 'dressing up' is a bit half hearted and we don't really know anyone so wimping out ourselves but dd seems keen.

Thanks v. much everyone - yes a scrunchy. good idea ! Marvellous. Have just bought her a hideous dress (and leggings of course) in Matalan but she seems quite keen on it sadly.
