I love L'Occitane shea butter it is very rich, perfect for over the winter.

here

Crabtree and Evelyn. Can never remember the name of it but it comes in loads of fragrances and it's really rich but sinks in well. My favourite hand cream ever.

BornToFolk · 12/11/2009 11:09

Just looked it up - Hand Therapy.

slug · 12/11/2009 11:30

I was given a tube of the AVEDA one after I got my arm out of a cast. Lovely stuff it was too.

NancyBotwin · 12/11/2009 11:31

There's a C&E handcream free with Marie Claire this month if anyone is interested...

notamumyetbutoneday · 12/11/2009 11:32

Virgin Vie's is lovely and more tha I would spend on a hand cream for myself, it was a gift. Can't remember if it has a special name, its a cream tube with a silver lid.

BornToFolk · 12/11/2009 11:39

Ooooh, thanks Nancy!

Oumasrusks · 12/11/2009 12:03

I love the C&E Hand Therapy. It's divine! Also, the Body shop do that hemp one which works really well too.

gct · 12/11/2009 12:29

L'Occitane gets my vote too and they have got a special Christmas edition hand cream set for £20 which looks gorgeous.

Mcdreamy · 12/11/2009 12:35

Another L'Occitane vote

Clure · 12/11/2009 12:43

Body shop hemp hand protector is brill

paisleyleaf · 12/11/2009 12:45

I love that body shop hemp one too

marthastewart · 12/11/2009 15:22

Love the aveda hand cream. Clarins do an anti age hand cream which might be nice for your mum!
Also burts bees do a handcream with little cotton gloves - very cute - for maximum absorbtion at night!

Millie1 · 12/11/2009 16:05

Jurlique ... you get it in Space NK. It's beautiful!!

bluebump · 12/11/2009 16:12

L'occitaine is amazing for hand care. I can't wait to get my mits on this limited one.

For day to day use I love this, it smells divine - all orangey and scrummy.

GeorgiesGirl · 12/11/2009 17:12

The Aveda one IS lovely but it's called 'Hand Relief' which may not be quite the thing for giving to your mum!

brimfull · 12/11/2009 17:15

I've tried loads , l'occitane , clarins etc and the best by far is the Body Shop hemp cream.

zanz1bar · 12/11/2009 20:24

Wow you ladies like your handcream.

Will get a l'occitane special gift set , they look so good.

I have heard that the body shop hemp cream is good excema anyone heard this?

Elizabeth Arden 8 hour hand cream is fantastic.

sylar · 12/11/2009 20:46

Aveda hand relief (and foot relief) are both lovely and are regulars on my Christmas list

lambanana · 12/11/2009 21:22

This is a nice one. light smell and sinks in really fast. Well it does on my gnarled hag hands.

clarins

brimfull · 12/11/2009 22:08

zanzibar-my friend has eczema on her hands and swears by the hemp cream

ilovemydogandmrobama · 12/11/2009 22:13

another vote for Body Shop Hemp

As a side note the guy who sells Aveda locally refused to wear the t shirt asking, 'can I indulge you in some hand relief...'

It's an American company, but still...

cornsilkwearscorsets · 12/11/2009 22:16

Body shop hemp is better than l'occitane but doesn't smell as nice. Also the lid is fiddly and falls off so the cream goes all over your bag. I want to try that Jurlique. How much is it Millie?

brimfull · 12/11/2009 22:28

yes agree about the lid
it's infuriating
