i bought a beautiful coat online from Monsoon, just what I was looking for, but I bloody well ordered the wrong size so I have to send it back!

I went online to order the right size and they are sold out

So I am looking for a warmish raincoat with hood in decent(ish) quality that is not going to break the bank - ie under £100.

and Yes, it is for the school run!! I am a childminder so am in and out of the car a lot and usually land up getting soaked.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am a 18 - 20 and the one that was sent to me was a 10................

Any ideas please?

I think Monsoon are pretty good about trying to track things down, I would email and explain what happened and ask if they could help you find your coat in one of their branches. Or look up the numbers on their website and ring around yourself.

I hope you find one

Hi

Have you tried Matalan?- bit different from Monsoon I know but I have just found a lovely trendy, smartish coat with hood from there and they have 20% off at the moment too - bargain. Had been looking all over for a coat and tried loads of other places but was pleaseantly surprised with Matalan.

is that online, autumnsun?

No, in store but no doubt they do same online. Mine is from the Be Beau range.

maybe link to the coat you bought and we can see if we know of any similar?

ok, it's not a 'fashion' or smart coat but I have just got a snowboarder / ski coat from TK Maxx (retail £100, TK maxx £48). Has a hood, more pockets than I know what to do with - won't need a bag if I'm out with the pushchair as phone, cash, cards etc will fit in pockets, waterproof, seriously warm and it looks fine with jeans, and I think it will last for a few years. They definately had size 18's on the snow rails.

this is the coat that i really, really, really wanted. thanks, avrilh.

meglet, that's a fantastic idea too, esp seeing that i will be going into town to return the coat today and there is a TK Maxx where i live. I am not worried about fashion, though I don't want to look ridiculous! i wear mainly jeans and casual trousers because of my childminding. my parents would think i was off for an interview if I wore anything smarter!

thanks again. really appreciate your help.

i went to my local branch to take the small coat back and they found the right size for me at a nearby branch. I would not have thought about asking them had Veritybrulee not suggested it.

Ah! MN to the rescue again

That is great, having a coat you love makes winter more bareable. Enjoy
