Hello - DH has said he'll get me a new handbag for Christmas, and I could do with some suggestions as to what to ask for.

I'm looking for something in brown leather and big - at least 30cm across. I need something to accommodate my two DDs bits and bobs.

I'm thinking we can probably stretch to about £200. (I'd love a Mulberry one, but we don't really have £600 to spend on a a bag. Although we could just not eat for a month.....)

any advice greatly appreciated - I know there are many of you out there far more stylish than me!
thanks

ooh, watching with interest as this is what I was thinking. I'm missing the shoe and handbag gene but would like something for Xmas that could fit a bit of kiddy paraphernalia,

The smaller Radley Grosvenor at £165 is nice, you would need to stretch your budget for the larger one. And it did come in tan last season but not this.

The Evie bag is great you could buy it in tan and black and have change for lunch

Oh - I like the Evie bag. that's the kind of thing I'm looking for, thanks

any other ideas?

Anything with little fastening things on top?

I love Mulberry bags but only when brought in the sales! Why dont you wait until just after Xmas and on the first day of the sale go and see what they have. Dont know where you are in the country but Harvey Nicks is great for them or alternatively Westfields Shopping Centre opposite the BBC Centre at Shepherds Bush has a Mulberry shop.

What about going to Bicester outlet village and buying a Mulberry from a couple of seasons ago. It's a nice day out

VAT is going back up again in December (I think), you might be better off buying now.

i bought a lovely and big brown Mulbery bag for £238 at Bicester Village - hold out for something you really want, don't compromise!

knickerelasticjones · 12/11/2009 18:53

Chandellina that sounds great!

Unfortunately we're in SCotland, so Bicester would be a bit of a trek just for a handbag!
