Hair jewellery

I was in a museum at the weekend and saw some mourning rings with the hair of the deceased person incorporated into the design. I would like to have something similar made with my DS's babyhair from his first hair cut. But I can't find anywhere that does it.

Does anyone know of a company /person that does this, or something similar?

what a lovely idea! Will be watching with interest as I would love to do that too. I have hair used in a variety of ways in jewellery in museums but no idea if you would be able to find someone to do this now.

I've wanted to do this for ages, but couldn't find anyone. So will also watch with interest - I have hair from all 3 dc's first haircuts, ready and waiting!

I bought myself an antique gold locket on ebay last year, I remember when I was looking the were some glass lockets for a lock of hair.

I just had a look and if you search mourning in the jewelery section of ebay.com you will find some.

Otherwise I'm sure a jeweller would work with you to design something, and often that's not as expensive as you might think.
